Update Your MobiNote MP4 Player Firmware
This shows how to update the mp4 firmware on your MobiNote MP4 Player with firmware versions 1.1.21 and 1.2.07
Step 1: Download the latest firmware to your PC desktop.
Step 2: Connect the MP4 player with Power adapter while adapter is plugged into power outlet and turn the mp4 player on.
(Just make sure your power adapter is plugged properly, so that it will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the mp4 player while you are in the process of upgrading your firmware).
*Note:* If the Main Menu of your MP4 player is different from the above image, then DO NOT use this version firmware to upgrade to avoid possible severe damages to your MP4 player. You will have to send your MP4 player back to the original manufacturer at some cost to repair. Warranty does not include conditions such as repairing for firmware upgrade failure.
Step 3: Select SETUP/Function Menu
*Note:* If your MP4 player does not show your firmware version, or if it is not Version 1.1.21, then DO NOT use this firmware version to upgrade to avoid possible severe damages to your MP4 player. You will have to send your MP4 player back to the original manufacturer at some cost to repair. Warranty does not include conditions such as repairing for firmware upgrade failure.
Step 4: Press STOP/Back button to return to Main Menu
Step 5: Use the Mini USB cable to connect your MP4 player to the PC computer. A new USB device dialog box will pop up on your PC computer screen.
Step 6: Unzip the most recent mp4 firmware file and upload the file update.bin to the root path of your MP4 player.
Step 7: Unplug the Mini USB cable. Once the "USB" icon disappears, enter SETUP/Function Menu
Step 8: Scroll up/down "3-way select buttion" to highlight "Firmware Update". Press "3-way select button" once to confirm, and the "Firmware Update" message will show on the screen.
Step 9: Scroll up/down 3-way select button to select V(YES) icon. Press 3-way select button once to confirm the start of updating firmware now. Make sure that you DO NOT touch any button while the system is still updating the firmware.
Step 10: After about approximately five (5) minutes, the MP4 player will shut down by itself.
Step 11: Restart the MP4 Player after approximately two (2) minutes and enter SETUP/Function Menu. The firmware version will be listed as Ver1.2.07. Finally, the firmware update process is complete, and you can use your MP4 player with all the features of the new firmware.
