S1res resource editor is a free public domain GNU licensed tool. S1res allows you to be able to edit and change the text and graphics on your mp3/mp4 player.

In order to use this tool, you first have to extract your firmware with the s1fwx tool. You can also repair your firmware with the s1fwx tool, if needed. Then once you're done with that, you load the s1res resource editor tool, then use it to edit the firmware file. Once you're done editing the firmware file, you can save the file on your pc, then upload it back to your mp3/mp4 player using the mp4 player update tool.
